I'm working up a post on loot rules.
As it stands right now this is what happens anyway. There are only three alts that are getting geared. Maximumpain, Koiev, Buddahsbro. In all these cases though we want to gear these players because they will replace their mains.
Maximumpain is one of two Death Knights in the guild that actually does not suck. Koiev and Buddahsbro are healers that we really need at the moment.

Let's just say I lost on a BoE item that I should have won and it A) wasn't meant for that person's class and B) that person isn't even using it.

If they were able to equip it, and it was an upgrade from what they had, Then tough.
Also, All BOE gear is checked for equip, and Loot Masters can put in a ticket to give it to the correct winner if they do not.
